Walking Therapy

Walking creates a different kind of therapeutic space, where you can look ahead to natural surroundings. For some people, this allows sharing to feel easier than when sitting face-to-face. Being outdoors and moving your body can also help with emotional regulation and a feeling of being grounded.

As with all of the counselling sessions that I offer, walking therapy is a space where we can slow down, notice what is happening for you, and explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion. You can choose to have your sessions outdoors on an ongoing basis, or we can incorporate walking therapy into your regular sessions when it feels useful. I offer walking therapy in Greenwich and Blackheath. We will agree a specific area for our walking therapy sessions within our online initial assessment. If the weather makes being outdoors impractical, we can move the session online or in our usual location instead.
